Blurb from Goodreads:Our lives are a cascade of events that pass faster than we would like them to. Time changes everything. Our habits, our views, our circle of friends. But there is one thing that remains the same over the years.
Our memories.
Through them we cherish the most unforgettable moments of our history. And they also retain some things that can't be forgotten….
But one day you realize that yesterday should be left in the past. Because tomorrow your new life begins, and you go back to the drawing board.
A love story of Evan Murray and Tara Mackenzie.
A story that should last forever….
But no one knows when forever ends….
Review:  FINALLY!!!!!! Evans story!!!! Thanks Diana for letting me read this
So we finally get the insight into Evans and Tara's relationship. I know we've been waiting forever to find out what happened. I feel like I know Evan better now and I understand why he still can't get over Tara. However, this book left me feeling better for book 3 I think Evan will be able to finally get over his feelings for Tara and maybe find someone who is just amazing for him.

Dawson raised his arm and two DVDs shot into his hand. “Uh, we have Diary of the Dead and Survival of the Dead.” “Great,” Daemon muttered. I rolled my eyes. “Wussy.” “Whatever.” He elbowed me, knocking a kernel of popcorn between my chest and notebook. I sighed. “Want me to get that for you?” he asked. Shooting him a look, I dug it out and then tossed it in his face. “You’re going to be grateful when the zombie apocalypse occurs and I know what to do because of my zombie fetish.” He looked doubtful. “There are better fetishes out there, Kitten. I could show you a few.

A Shade of Vampire by Bella Forrest

Title: A Shade of Vampire
Author: Bella Forest
Published: December 14th, 2012
Number of Pages: 147

Blurb from Goodreads: On the evening of Sofia Claremont's seventeenth birthday, she is sucked into a nightmare from which she cannot wake.
A quiet evening walk along a beach brings her face to face with a dangerous pale creature that craves much more than her blood.
She is kidnapped to an island where the sun is eternally forbidden to shine.
An island uncharted by any map and ruled by the most powerful vampire coven on the planet. She wakes here as a slave, a captive in chains.
Sofia's life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn when she is the one selected out of hundreds of girls to join the harem of Derek Novak, the dark royal Prince.
Despite his addiction to power and obsessive thirst for her blood, Sofia soon realizes that the safest place on the island is within his quarters, and she must do all within her power to win him over if she is to survive even one more night.
Will she succeed? ...or is she destined to the same fate that all other girls have met at the hands of the Novaks?

Review: Okay so confession time.. vampire books are my dirty indulgence, yes yes I know vampires? But I mean let's face it we all love a good vampire book, and I say good vampire book where vampires at least behave somewhat like vampires. Okay so with the mini rant out of the way lets move on to the review.
We start off with Sofia  walking alone at night on the beach ( I know I was basically waiting for something bad to happen.) She gets kidnapped by a vampire and wakes up chained to a wall in a dungeon to find out that she will basically be vampire food or vampire slave to the dreaded and feared dark Prince Derek Novak.
Okay so I liked Sofia. At first I did think she was going to be that woe is me type of heroine and just complain the entire novel, but she was brave and I loved how she was willing to help the other girls and she was even willing to stop Derek from doing something he regrets. I liked her she was the ray of sunshine in this dark book.
Derek. Well he definitely isn't your typical love interest I'll tell you that. Also he is not the guy you would bring home to meet your parents. He was a vampire. He thirsted for blood, killed without mercy. Even after he meets Sofia those traits don't change. Yes we see a softer side of him but that brutal, dangerous, scary vampire is still there. I thought that was a breath of fresh air. Nowadays, vampires have been basically downgraded to fluffy little bunnies. I mean people come on THEY DRINK BLOOD !!!!!!! So it was nice to see  a more realistic vampire? yeah that's a huge oxymoron anyway, I did get to like Derek and I think he's good for Sofia.
This was a pretty short novel and you could kind of see where the novel was going to go but it was still very enjoyable and I did like this read. Looking froward to the sequel.

   I give this dark tale

Liebster Blog Award!!

So I haven't been on my blog in while, I've been so busy with everything that  I have basically had no time to read but I just logged onto my blog and saw that Algel Cresfall has nominated me for the Liebster Blog Award.
   What is Liebster Award?
Liebster Blog Award is given to upcoming bloggers that have less than 200 followers and the purpose is to get to know them since we think that they deserve it. The word “Liebster” is a German word which means "favorite".So  you are nominated for the “Favorite Blog Award” if you got  the Liebster Blog Award nomination. And again Algel thank you sooooo much for nominating me :)
In order to accept and participate there are some steps.

---->Tell 11 things about yourself.
---->Answer 11 questions from the blogger who nominated you.
---->Post 11 questions for those who will be nominated by you.
---->Nominate 11 bloggers who have less than 200 followers.
---->Get in contact with those 11 bloggers in order to inform them that you nominated them.

I'll start off with telling you 11 things about myself.
  1. I love reading... okay so that one is kind of obvious I mean I run a book blog.
  2. I hate love triangles in books. Can't stand them, unless it's like the girl broke up with one guy and has basically no feelings for him and goes out with another guy. Anything besides that I can't stand.
  3. I believe in soul-mates... I know cheesy, but it's just so cute I can't help myself.
  4. I'm fluent in Russian and Ukrainian.
  5. I love coffee and tea, I think coffee more so.
  6. In my group of friends I'm the mom mainly because I always look out for them and I guess I behave momly? I don't know I don't see it but I get told that daily.
  7. I want to do caner research when I graduate.
  8. I am a terrible superhero nerd. Bust out your superheros, I love them.
  9. I paint, when I'm in a bad mood I just grab my headphones and canvas and I escape into a different world, it basically does the same thing reading does me. Gives me a way to just get away from everything and dive into a different world.
  10. I hate running, I was on the cross-country team, I was basically ready to break my leg just to get off the team... yeah it's that bad :)
  11. I can't take a compliment to save my life... I always turn it around to the other person.
Here are the questions from  Algel:

1. What inspires you to write?
For me writing is a way to get everything that is going on in my head on paper. I think just things and people around me.
2. What's your writing style?
I crack so many jokes when I write I also use weird metaphors and phrases to make it funny.
3. What kinds of books do you collect?
Hmmmm... all books :) nah, the books I really love and don't own in like actual print I'll buy and collect them, but I have to be more picky with my books now there is no room for me to keep them.
4. Can you share titles of the most awesome books that you have read?
Wow, that's hard. Ummmm I love YA romance so I think the Significance series by Shelly Crane, The Fault In Our Stars, John Green Oh and definitely the Lux Series by Jennifer L. Armentrout.
5. How often do you read?
Every single week I go through two books, unless I'm busy with something.
6. Do you believe in long distance relationship? Why or why not?
I do. I mean if people really care about each other and want to be together they shouldn't care how much distance is between them. That shouldn't stand in the way of love.
7. Who's your favorite blogger? (Post his/her blog link here)
Wild Heart Book Review, his reviews are so good, I always try to check them out before reading a book.
8. What are you most thankful for?
      My family, I love them.
9. How do you see yourself 5 years from now?
I see myself doing something I love and something that actually matters.
10. Can you give some writing/blogging tips to all the bloggers out there?
Use good grammar!! Hahaha, no just blog about things you care about and your blog will be amazing, because there will be emotion tied in with your words instead of just blah.( If that makes any sense)
11. Do you have any power word to boost yourself up?
      I don't :( But I think I should come up with one.

Okay so here are my questions to those of you I nominated:
  1. Why do you read?
  2. What is your favorite quote?
  3. What types of books do you enjoy?
  4. What is your biggest pet peeve? (In books or just life)
  5. True love? Yes or No?
  6. Whats the craziest thing about you?
  7.  Describe yourself in three words.
  8. Is there anything in your life you would change?
  9. What are you most thankful for?
  10. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
  11. What do you do in your free time?
My nominees are..

Born in Flames ( Born in Flames Trilogy 1) by Candace Knoebel

Title: Born in Flames ( Born in Flames Trilogy 1)
Author: Candace Knoebel
Published: September 6th, 2012 by 48fourteen
Number of Pages: 259

Blurb from Goodreads: Red mirrored scales race up my arms as the haze of pain blurs my vision. My bones crack, breaking to realign. I scream. It is then that the realization of my unavoidable fate sinks in; I am of a dying race. I am dragon.

Aurora Megalos, orphaned and teetering on the edge of adulthood, thought finding her past would curb the sting of being an outcast. Having no memories of the time before she awoke on her foster mother’s doorstep, she yearns for the emptiness inside her to be filled. With her fellow orphaned best friend, Fenn, by her side, she has nothing to lose and everything to gain. But something powerful stirred within her that she couldn’t explain. Something wanted out.

In the dark of night, a crazed Seer, dubbed Mr.Creepy, erases everything she’s ever known with an impending prophecy. She now faces two paths. Return to her true home to protect a dying race against a growing evil, or stay hidden in the safety of our realm with a shot at a true love. With a vengeful Arch Enemy stopping at nothing to see her dead, she’s running out of time; a decision must be made. What would you choose?

Review: A copy of this book was provided to me by the author in exchange for an honest review.
Okay, so let's face it who doesn't love a good fantasy with dragons and Mages and Fates and a prophesy that may or may not foretell a certain doom? This book basically has the whole package throw in a girl who is determined to survive to make it to the guy she loves and you have a pretty amazing book.
Aurora "Rory" was an average girl who was just trying to find out who her real parents are and also save enough money to get a car so she can stop taking the bus and dealing with a driver who loves to hate her... no idea why but if there was a list of drivers from hell this guy would top it without a doubt. So when Mr. Creepy foretells a prophesy that she is the center of well Rory is a bit more than shocked.  She was a decent heroine who I'll admit I want to shake a little or a lot at times. I understand why she acted the way she did but she was difficult at times.  However, I liked how she progressed toward the end of the novel.
Fenn, the best friend or maybe possibly something more? (I'm not telling I was literally on pins and needles trying to figure out how that relationship would end so you can suffer too) When we first met him I thought he was gay. I mean there are so many YA novels out there where the best friend is gay that I almost expected it and being honest I kind of love that but my jaw almost hit the floor when I realized he was straight... and HOT... and pretty charming. So I liked Fenn, once we got to know him better. He was a good friend and well I just wish there was more of him.
Knoebel managed to create an amazing fantasy world that you couldn't help but be pulled in to. Even though the plot was a little slow picking up in the beginning I enjoyed where it went and how everything summed up.
Check out this book if you enjoy a story that has kick-ass dragons and a cool heroine.

    I give this novel

Legacy of a Dreamer by Allie Jean

Title: Legacy of a Dreamer
Author: Allie Jean
Published: May 3, 2012 by Writer's Coffee Shop
Paperback/E-pub

Blurb from Goodreads: Chantal Breelan is a ward of the state, living under the care of a woman who is cold and heartless. Her past is a mystery, and her future is even more uncertain. She can’t recall why she had been taken from her parents and so she’s left with nothing but an empty hole where her childhood should have been. When she awakens from her nightmares, she’s left with terrible, violent images, as well as a boy whose face is oddly familiar, yet can’t be placed.

Scared and alone, Chantal begins to confide in an imaginary friend – a shadow in the shape of a man who stands in the corner of her room. She is comforted when she believes he listens to her.

On her eighteenth birthday, Chantal is forced to leave her foster home. She moves to New York City, but the start of her new life doesn’t begin as smoothly as she’d hoped. In this environment, she faces a whole new set of challenges.

One night at a subway station, Chantal meets a young boy who runs away from her, and she’s compelled to follow him down into the tunnels. But this Rabbit Hole reveals a world where reality is a nightmare. Her dreams are clues to her future, and her life becomes twisted and dangerous when she learns that things that go bump in the night are not just in fairy tales and childhood stories.

Review: Okay so let's face it the blurb isn't helpful at all.. like I think it confuses you even more. Chantal is your typical eighteen year old orphan who has been haunted by terrible nightmares ever since she can remember. Her only source of solace was a mysterious shadow she names Nick, who she talks to in her mind about her nightmares. Even though he never replies she likes the idea that someone is there to help her through her nightmares. Now she is living alone in a studio in New York trying to piece her life together and make something out of herself. But little does she know her life is a bout to take a spiral into a world where nightmares aren't just nightmares but prophesies of a very real and frightening future.
After you get past the first few chapters and figure out what the story is actually about, this novel is an amazing read. It's such a different take on.. should I say it? Yeah I guess I will, it's not even a spoiler..it's such a different take on angels that I was so pulled into the story.
Chantal was in a way a typical heroine. Life made her hardworking and humble and she nice to everyone she meets. She stands up for the innocent and I loved that trait in her. It's hard to describe her she was definitely a strong heroine but she had a softer and a weaker almost fragile side. She definitely had some of the typical Mary-Sue traits  but she didn't suffer from TSTL syndrome so it's all good.
Mathias.. well, now that's a hottie. I loved him. He was protective and I loved how he tries to put his feelings for Chantal aside because there were more important things. He was just an awesome love interest that's all I'm saying about him I don't want to give anything away.
Definitely pick up this book if you like a paranormal novel with action and even a bit of romance, but romance is not the main focus of this book just saying it's there but it definitely takes a step back to the plot.

     I give this novel
